About The Designer

Before starting my own business, I was a real-estate assistant in Kelowna. After completing the realtor’s course, I found I was more interested in decorating & color consulting, than I was becoming a licensed realtor... so Urban Redesigns was born!

As an assistant I was involved with many of the challenges that buyers & sellers face in the Okanagan. Part of my job was to view new listing on the market each week. As I previewed more & more homes & I developed a talent for being able to identify & then catalogue, what was wrong with homes that were not selling.

For many years I have know that buyers are distracted by poor organization & clutter, which by the way is the # 1 problem with hard to sell properties…but it wasn't until I met some of the clients that I realized... most people don’t know how to decorate or who to turn to for help!

Before Urban Redesigns I was flipping houses, doing faux-paint finishes, re-upholstering & sewing for clients as well as for our family home. As far as formal education, I have a Bachelor of Arts degree, from the University of Calgary, an education assistant diploma (with honours), from the Medicine Hat College & a certification from the CRDA in Professional Redesign & Home Staging...
